Bob Dylan, Dire Straits, Eagles, Bryan Adams are the other favorites, with some western classical & Jazz anytime.
Contemporary music favorites in Alanis Morissette, Shaina Twain, Eric Clapton & Lauyrn Hill.
Closer home, Ghazals for the soul and anything soothing or melodious. Or for those funky moments Hindi POP and Govinda, Devotional music and marathi-folklores.

Literature & Arts

Not long back I used to be a prolific reader and a writer too. With articles and poems filling up for the mundane.
Not much time now for that, but I would any day love to lay back with a John Grisham, or Robert Ludlum, or on a serious note
Khalil Gibran, Tolkien, Ghalib or Keates. But my favorite is Edward Lear and Cartoon strips, Calvin and Hobbes, FoxTrot, Garfield, Dilbert.
And, though not the "arty" types, I still enjoy my painting – oil, pastel, water – of nature and portraits.

Movies & Shows

Miss the desi movies and shows, but a three hour melodrama seems too much,
unless its a David Dhawan or an old classic from Amitabh, Dev Anand, Madhubala, Sanjeev Kumar or Amol Palekar.
Would root for a western anyday, Meg Ryan, Michelle Pheiffer, Eddie Murphy, Al Pacino .
And who could live without M*A*S*H or "Friends" or "X-Files". Not to miss all the Cartoons and the Comedy central.

Cooking

A good cook and a vegetarian by choice, I enjoy my time in the kitchen and would keep it that way.
Aloo parathas or baingan bharta, Chicken biryani or caramel custard I’ve seen it all.

Games & Sports

I am good at Pool, perhaps billiards if only they played it here, have a dart board at home,
religiously go bowling once a week and for a swim each day.
Love Cricket & baseball to some extent, play tennis in summer and racket-ball whenever I get a partner.

Adventure, travel, a song & a dance.

A Travel bug, who rides the "Bug" - that's my new Volkswagen Beetle - loves cars, and always ready for an adventure.
Hiking, camping, river-rafting, ballooning, extreme rides. Would love to do para gliding once, and hope to Ski perfect one day.
Till then a night at the local Disc is as much fun as anything.
